BAISAKHI CELEBRATION

In keeping with its annual tradition, WPO celebrated “Baisakhi”, the festival of happiness and gaity on 15th April 06 at Hotel The Bristol, Gurgaon. This cultural extravaganza was presented by Folk Singers and artists from Pakistan and India and attended by dignitarief from all walks of life. The programme that extended to the wee hours of the morning was thoroughly enjoyed and applauded by one and all.

Singers Saihira Naseem, Humaira Chnna and comedian Hassan Abbas from Pakistan and Bollywood star Sheeba, singer Mikka, Kaptan Laddi and BMP Fire from India wre the star attractions of the evening. The programme was compered by Satinder Sati.

The evening was graced by cine star Rajesh Khanna, Comedian Jaspal Bhatti and Cricket Bishan Singh Bedi. Other high profile dignitaries introduced to the audience were former Union Minister S.S.Dhindsa, Dy. Speaker Lok Sabha C.S.Atwal, Tarlochan Singh, Padam Shri Dr. H.S.Rissam.

Sheikh Jamil Magoon-Vice President FPCCI, Ali Badar-President WPO Lahore, Munawar Bhati- Dy High Commissioner of Pakistan in India.

Sr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, International President WPO thanked the artists and dignitaries present for taking out their valuable time to make the evening present and promised to carry on “Paigam Mohabbtan De” in the years to come.
