12th January at “Bhainsali Ground”, Meerut: More than 50,000 people enjoyed the cultural programme presented by famous Punjabi pop singer Harbhajan Singh Mann and Richa Sharma. The function was presided over by Shri I. K. Gujral, former Prime Minister of India and Chief Patron -WPO and other distinguish personality.

12th April at Hotel Ashok, New Delhi: The baishakhi Mela commanded a strong audience. The programme commenced with a ‘light and soud’ show emphasising the traditional glory of the festival. Pop stars Shankar Sahney, Ashok Mastie, Richa Sharma and comedian Bhagwant Mann enthralled the gathering .
May 2000: WPO Shaping up in U.K. & Japan : A WPO delegation visited London. Various functions were held in London & Birmingham to felicitate & welcome Sr. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and other visiting dignitaries.
