World Punjabi Organisation in association with Maneesh Media is bringing out a coffee-table book Jewels of Punjab– Leading Global Punjabi Personalities, as an ode to all those Punjabis who have struggled, loved, and made India proud, even while staying beyond the boundaries of the nation. Slated to be released on August 14th, 2017, the eve of 71st Independence Day of India at The Ashok, New Delhi by Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India.
Besides, the book will cover around 50 personalities from 20 different countries, some of them being Bhai Mohinder Singh from Birmingham, Dr. Amarjit S. Marwah (eminent dentist, USA), Didar S. Shri Vikramjit Singh Sahney, International President of World Punjabi Organisation said this compilation will take its readers through the experiences, the nerve with which the life-changing decisions taken intuitively were executed by them. These narratives would serve as example for the young ones to perk-up for their betterment, and also of the society at large. The essence of this coffee-table book is to serve as a beacon of hope and confidence.
World Punjabi Organisation (WPO) is an International body of Punjabis to bring about “Punjabi Renaissance”. It is a Non-Political body of Prominent Punjabi Industrialists, Businessmen, Sportsmen, Journalists, Artists and achievers in various fields from all over the Globe. It was formally launched on 10th January 1998 by Late Shri I.K. Gujral (Founder Patron in Chief), the then Prime Minister of India.
