World Punjabi Organisation 10 Year Celebration
Exhibition Polo Match

As part of the celebration of its completion of 10 glorious years, WPO organized an Exhibition Polo match at Jaipur Polo Grounds, New Delhi between Nalwa’s and Sherdill’s . The two teams consisted of well known players.

In a well contested match Nalwas defeated Sherdills by 6-5. Sr. Gurcharan Singh Memorial Trophy instituted in the memory of Lt. Sr. Gurcharan Singh Sahney father of WPO International President Sr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney was given to Dr. Tony Kohli captain of the winning team. Dr. M.S. Gill, Chief Guest for the evening gave away the prizes.

Sr. V.S. Sahney, International President WPO welcomes all the guests specially those from abroad for taking the trouble and sparing their valuable time to come and attend the celebrations of 10 glorious years of WPO.

A skill riding show and Vintage car show was also organized during the occasion. Both the shows were well appreciated by the spectators. The match and the show was well attended by the elite of Delhi that include Sr. S.S. Dhindsa-MP & Former Union Minister, Sr. Tarlochan Singh-MP & Former Chairman National Commission for Minorities, Sr. T.S. Marwah-MLA. Lord D.S. Rana-London, Sh. Raj Loomba MBE-London, Sr. Anup Vohra, Sh. Inder Bindra-President WPO New York, Sr. Surjit Singh-President WPO Abu Dhabi, Sr. J.S. Sachar-Dubai, Sr. Ranjit Buxi-President WPO London etc.

Inspite of the inclement weather there was no lack of enthusiasim in the participants and the spectators.
